I gathered some stills of John Cleese performing his most-awesome Python sketch.
Then I arranged them thus. Then cut a lino.  Then shot it onto a silkscreen.
And now you can own the fab t-shirt and be a part of it all!
(Even if your right leg isn't silly at all, and your left merely does a forward aerial half turn every alternate step)

NEW BEATLES TEE

New Beatles Cartoon Tee!
Been watching this weird and wonderful Beatles cartoon on Youtube with my little daughter.
It was an American program made by the same folks who did the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, and it aired between '65 and '69 I think. The Beatles had nothing to do with it - other than the music. A full song was featured in each episode. Terrible Liverpool accents and pretty sketchy animation - but I love it.
I grabbed an animation 'cel' and edited it to make this design.

Got the rest of the provinces/territories shot and printed today. That's 12! 'Canada 76' complete!
(I haven't forgotten about you Nunavut. You are just too dang new (1999) to be vintage - and '76 is the m.o for this bunch. That said, you are huge, and you are beautiful, and you are very probably deserving of a 'simulated' vintage t-shirt design... Stay tuned)

New Vintage Provincials

Hey All! Working on a new line of tee's: Vintage Provincial designs.
I have tracked down some old logo's and rejigged some cool 60's-70's banner/patch artwork for a new bunch of t-shirts. There is one for every province (and the 2 territories of my youth, Yukon and NWT). Printing them on American Apparel black, blue, and green.
I have made screens for a couple so far - I'll post them below. More as the come...

Tree Poster

Printed some more posters tonight! Just a small test run to get the feel of it.
Couple tweaks yet - but I just love screen printing on paper.

GULL POSTERS!

Printed some posters last night. So fun!
Gotta tweak a couple of the screens, and work on my registration technique - but i think they look kinda great. Pretty hi-test racking, eh.

Here is part of the artwork I did for my friends, "The Once" new CD. Very exciting time for them - The Once are soon releasing this new record on Nettwerk, a very posh Canadian label indeed - then embarking on a world tour with international phenom, "Passenger". Jaysus!

it's been a tough few days in my screen printing world.
been trying out this oiled-paper film technique. been failing.
been shopping for a good used large format printer. tricky
been trying to reclaim my fancy new aluminum 230 mesh screens. tragic.

merry clayton's version of 'southern man' has buoyed my spirits! seek it out!
(she is the great soul/r&b singer wailing that great break on 'gimme shelter')
onward and upward!

discovered the new screens don't fit my press, but i printed this anyway and kinda effed up the cool half-tones. bugger. like the design though.
